Renovation to Cary-Farber-Sherman Hall

Architect Boye Akinola, AIA, Principal of Boye Architecture served as

Facilities Architect of Office of Design and Construction.

Architect Boye’s role consisted of providing program coordination

with faculty, architectural design plans, scheduling and cost estimates

for the renovation design of a 5,000 sf new Health Science

Instrument Lab/Shop  in the  first  level of the Cary-Farber-Sherman

building to accommodate new lab for health science research

instrument and other support spaces. Architect Boye also

provided construction management services

and supervision of campus contractors.

REHAB ENGINEERING LAB CENTER

Renovation to Kimball Hall

Architect Boye Akinola, AIA, Principal of Boye Architecture served as

Facilities Architect of Office of Design and Construction.

Architect Boye’s role consisted of providing program coordination with

faculty, architectural design plans, scheduling and cost estimates

for the renovation design of a 10,000 sf new Rehab Engineering Lab

Center  in the  basement level of the Kimball Hall to accommodate

new lab for health science’s instructional classrooms and labs, faculty

offices,and other support spaces. Architect Boye also provided construction

management services and supervision of campus contractors.

DEPARTMENT OF MICRO-BIOLOGY LABS

Renovation to Cary-Farber-Sherman Hall

Facilities Architect of Office of Design and Construction.

Architect Boye’s role consisted of providing program coordination with

faculty, architectural design plans, scheduling and cost estimates

for the renovation design of a 3,000 sf new Micro-Biology Lab on the

third level of the Cary-Farber-Sherman building to accommodate

new micro-biology labs that consisted of animal testing instructional

labs with fume hoods installations, surgical suites for animal experiments,

animal holding rooms and other lab support spaces. Architect Boye also

provided construction management services and supervision of

campus contractors.

NEW HEALTH SCIENCES BUILDING

Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, GA

Due to the increase needs for expanding science research laboratories

at Clark Atlanta University’s existing Science buildings, Clark Atlanta

University commissioned a 115,000 sf new state-of-the-art sciences

building. One unique part of this program was the provision of a 4

story rotunda exhibit space that will showcase history making

legendary African-American scientists. Architect Boye Akinola, AIA,

Principal of Boye Architecture served as Project Architect forTurner

Associates (Architect of Record). In 1996, Architect Boye’s role

consisted of providing program coordination with Vice President

for Science & Research, faculty, conceptual architectural design

plans, scheduling and cost estimates.

DEKALB COUNTY COMMUNITY SERVICES CENTER

Library, Police Academy Facility and Fire Station

Stonecrest Mall Community Area, Lithonia-Atlanta, GA

As master planner/Architect-of-Record, our firm designed and

programmed the masterplan and building designs for Dekalb

County’s new community center/neighborhood services campus

in South Dekalb’s master planned community of Stonecrest Mall.

This campus features a library, police station and fire station.

A park-like environment was planned that centered around a

contemporary library.
